Read the FOCUS specification

FOCUS — the FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification — is the open standard the FinOps Foundation ratified for cloud cost data. AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI now publish billing exports that conform to it. Most cost tools were built before FOCUS existed and lock you into a proprietary schema.

billingAI was built FOCUS-native from day one. Every cloud bill and every AI call lands in the same open schema, every column means the same thing across providers, and you can take that data into any other FOCUS-aware tool tomorrow. We don't lock you in.

PRIVACY BY ARCHITECTURE

What billingAI does not do

No cloud credentials

No IAM roles, service principals, or service-account keys. Ever. You upload a file, we read the file — that is the entire data path.

Your keys, never ours

Bring your own AI provider keys. We proxy your calls and meter the cost — the keys are encrypted at rest and never leave your control.

Metadata only

We store cost metadata, not your prompts, responses, or workload contents. Only a one-way hash is kept, for de-duplication.

No background ingestion

Nothing syncs on a schedule without your active upload or your own gateway traffic. No surprise data enters our system.

No ML training on your data

Not now, not later, not for "improving service quality." Your usage data is yours.

No selling or sharing
